Joe Martini is the first externally appointed Chief Executive Officer in Carscallen LLP’s history, marking a milestone in the firm’s evolution. His appointment reflects Carscallen’s commitment to building on its proud heritage of independence and entrepreneurial spirit while embracing innovation and transformation for the future.
With more than 20 years of legal and executive experience, Joe has built a career at the intersection of law, business, and innovation. He began as a corporate/commercial lawyer, launched a precedent-setting practice within a Big 4 tax firm, and co-founded several ventures. He has since held executive, general counsel, and board roles across diverse SMEs, scaled an energy technology accelerator, and co-founded an energy technology fund.
Joe has advised boards and senior executives on structuring, financing, and governance, consistently bringing more than legal expertise. Known for a pragmatic, business-first mindset, he has guided organizations through strategic transitions, strengthening governance, operations, and leadership alignment to drive resilience and long-term growth.
As CEO of Carscallen, Joe works closely with the firm’s partners and professionals to enhance decision-making, modernize operations, and expand capacity across IT, HR, Marketing, and Finance.
