Akhil practices in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with a focus on construction and contractual disputes. He represents developers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors in construction disputes.
Akhil approaches litigation and dispute resolution pragmatically, with a view to finding the most efficient and cost-effective solutions for his clients. He has appeared before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Provincial Court of Alberta, and before various Arbitration Tribunals, including in International Chamber of Commerce Arbitrations.
Akhil obtained his J.D. from the University of Victoria’s Faculty of Law after acquiring a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance at the University of Calgary. In 2012, he was a recipient of the McCarthy Tétrault LLP scholarship in memory of John Finlay, awarded to a student with outstanding performance in legal skills, ethics, advocacy courses, or mooting.
